Our Commitment to Transparency
At AI Tools Idea, we believe you deserve to know exactly how we make money and whether it affects what we write. This page explains our affiliate relationships clearly and completely.
What Is an Affiliate Link?
An affiliate link is a special URL that tracks whether you arrived at a product's website through our link. If you then sign up for a paid plan or make a purchase, the company pays us a commission — at no extra cost to you.
The price you pay is identical whether you click our link or go directly to the company's website.
Which Programmes Do We Participate In?
We are currently affiliates of the following programmes (this list is updated regularly):
| Programme | Products covered | Network |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon Associates | General products | Amazon |
| PartnerStack | Notion, ClickUp, and other SaaS tools | PartnerStack |
| Impact.com | Various SaaS tools | Impact |
| ShareASale | Various tools and services | ShareASale |
| Individual programmes | Tools with direct affiliate programmes | Direct |
How We Identify Affiliate Links
Every article that contains affiliate links includes a disclosure notice at the top, reading:
"This article contains affiliate links. We may earn a commission if you sign up through our links — at no extra cost to you."
Individual affiliate links may also be marked with a note or labelled as "→ Try [Tool] free."
Does This Affect Our Reviews?
No. Our editorial process is independent of our affiliate relationships.
Here is how we ensure this:
- We cover tools we would recommend regardless of commission. If a tool doesn't earn a commission but is the best option for a given use case, we say so.
- We include genuine cons. Every review includes real limitations and situations where a tool is not the right choice — even when we earn a commission from it.
- Commissions do not determine rankings. Our "best of" lists rank tools based on features, value, and use-case fit — not commission rate.
- We disclose all affiliate relationships on every article that contains them.
FTC Compliance
This disclosure is made in compliance with the US Federal Trade Commission's guidelines concerning the use of endorsements and testimonials in advertising (16 CFR Part 255) and the UK Competition and Markets Authority's guidance on online reviews and endorsements.
